We just purchased a new house and want a complete backyard remodel. Our vision- to have a clean landscape that is kid friendly (we have a 3 and 5 year old) where the top part of the backyard is flat with usage for a a gazebo and a patio area, and the bottom portion is artificial grass for the kids to play.

I have attached some pictures of our backyard (lots of bushes and trees) and some pics of a backyard with clean lines and simplicity that we would ideally like. We would also like some wide steps going from the top of the backyard to the bottom with a handrail.

There are some aerial pics of the backyard that you can 3D. As of now, I don’t have specific measurements but will try and get them

I have seen your uploaded pictures. Your home is beautiful. But at least you have to give some sort of idea of the area to get better results. It would be better if you can ask the real estate company for a plan. Or you may give us some assumptions of the area. Thanks

  I’m trying to get the specs on the backyard.
  
  But for now here are a few more details.
  
  I like the clean and natural look. I would like to submit more of a blank slate to the landscaper. Can we do the following: 1) On the top level make the entire portion cement with the plant border. Also, can you put a small 1 foot border at the edges? 2) put some wide middle steps from the top to the bottom with some hand rails on both sides. And have some lights on the steps. 3) make the entire bottom artificial grass with a simple swing. Also a 1 foot border around the edges of the artificial grass Thank you!
