コンテスト概要

Our business is a bakery for the community. We will open the bakery in the next three months as a segment of the community. The objective of the bakery is to sell baked goods along with recipe books. The bakery is an extension of the church which a storefront will be held out within our community.

As we work on the logo for the bakery it is built on the following information. Colors that should be part of the logo purple, green, and gold. The following is an exert from the historical value:

The Saint Bartley Primitive Baptist Church is the oldest Black Church in the State of Alabama was organized in 1820. The original church building was burned down by the Union Soldiers during the Civil War. The church rose from the ashes and received a grant appropriated by President Ulysses S. Grant, and it was rebuilt in 1872. This grey concrete brick building, with gothic windows of ornamental glass, was the largest Black Church in the state and was affectionately known as the “Big Brick”. The congregation occupied a brick church in downtown Huntsville from 1872-1964. (92 years)

The old Saint Bartley structure was sold to the City of Huntsville in 1964 for “Urban Progress”. The last worship service held in the “Big Brick” was on the third Sunday in December 1964.
