Hello, I've taken some time to review the Hamara website, Facebook page and Twitter page. It is clear that the organization has a heart for its local community in Leeds. That's to be applauded and should be strengthened by the organization's presence on all three platforms.
My skills in WordPress Design & Development, Facebook Marketing & intermediate graphic design helped me to develop a broad analysis of the site and its social media presence, however Freelancer space limitations preclude going into great detail. I will include the more salient points as bullets below in the hope that we will have a conversation to flesh out the details going forward.
Analysis
- website needs to be revamped and modernized
- outdated links and pages; FB page link goes to error page
- stay with WordPress but install new theme and modern plugins
- install a front end editor so staff/volunteers with entry level word processing skills can update site content (audio, video, text, etc.) so developer not required
- move to mobile friendly - current theme doesn't support that and gives antiquated feel to site which is out of keeping with vibrancy of logo and activities within the Centre
- implement automated simultaneous cross posting from website to FB and Twitter
- add modern calendar so activities, classes, seminars, etc are easily found on mobile devices
- consistent message/"presence" across 3 platforms
- improve graphics across platforms ensuring they meet size requirement
