We need a simple software application to write and read data from a USB full speed (12Mbs) HID device using bulk data transfers. We also need a software driver described below. The software App should use the driver to communicate to the USB device.
Driver should support the CreateFile, ReadFile, WriteFile and CancelIO calls from host application software as documented by Microsoft, or supply a library compatible with MS Visual Studio 8.0 to communicate with the host software.
Driver should queue any writes to avoid waiting in the application code for USB latencies.
No USB messages can be dropped.
Highly desired that the driver support Suspend/Standby mode.
Our customer's current host software makes use of Cypress' Generic USB Driver. In order to be backwards compatible with this software, the following files should be supplied:
[login to view URL]: This file matches the VID/PID of the USB device to the CYUSB Cypress Generic USB Driver (can be downloaded at the bottom of this web page: [[login to view URL]][1].
[login to view URL]: The Windows XP driver binary for the Cypress Generic USB Driver.
[login to view URL]: The file matches the VID/PID of the USB device for downloading firmware contained in the .SPT file.
[login to view URL]: The Windows XP driver binary for downloading firmware.
[login to view URL]: The download script file.
The firmware will be a hex file.
