All foreigners (including foreigners of Indian origin) visiting India on long term (more than 180 days) on Student Visa, Medical Visa, Employment Visa, etc are required to get themselves registered with the concerned Foreigners Regional Registration Officer (FRRO)/ Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) having jurisdiction over the place where the foreigner intends to stay, within 14 days of arrival(Along with uploading the required documents). However, Pakistan nationals are required to register within 24 hours of their arrival. The accommodator is supposed to fill the C form using his account in the frro portal(within 24 hours).This CForm is one of the documents to be submitted by the foreigner while he registers. The FRRO officer then validates the documents and forwards it to police for field verification. The police then sends the report to FRRO. The FRRO, based on the police report, decides to issue/reject Resident Permit.
