Hey there, You're looking for a system that simplifies the use of the course system that your University uses. You've found the right person for the job! I have over 3 years of experience in Web development, with 8 years of experience in general programming. I am fully confident I can do what you're asking. I see the website having 2 sides. One would be the public side where anyone can input the courses they have finished and see the list of courses that are available. The other side would be for inputting new courses and their dependencies. If we do it like this, there's no need for a back-end server so we can get away with Google's Firebase database which has a "Pay what you use" structure and also a free tier. The app itself could sit on a free CDN, for example, Surge.sh. Alternatively, we can just have a JSON file with the app that has all the courses, and you would only have to edit that file to change the courses. This would eliminate the need for a database in exchange for some trivial loss in quality of life. With this, the end product would be quite low-maintenance. Looking forward to talking with you.
