Qualifications:
Serious passion for Survival Shooters
Demonstrable experience creating gameplay in a 3D environment.
Strong creative and technical design skills.
Ability to conceptualize and communicate an engaging gameplay experience and the technical ability to carry out your vision.
Programming/scripting experience in C/C++, LUA, or other languages.
Experience in Radiant, UnrealEd, Hammer, or other first person shooter level editors.
2-3 years professional design experience.
Self-motivated with the highest level of attention to detail.
Works well in a team environment.
Strong communication skills.
Takes and understands direction and feedback well, meets deadlines and handles multiple tasks.
Nice to haves:
Experience with 3d art packages such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Softimage|XSI.
Requirements:
At least two shipped games as a level designer, with hands-on experience in action games
Expert knowledge of level design from tools, scripting and creative perspectives
Demonstrable skill in a professional level editing toolset
Familiar with tuning and balancing systems and the effect that has on gameplay, with a focus on enemy design
Experience with establishing and following a level design pipeline from paper design through implementation and revisions
Uses metrics and telemetry to improve your levels and the player experience
Ability to work and contribute effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
Solid problem solving and critical thinking skills
Passion for playing and designing great, balanced, action games
Pluses
Experience with PC game development
Experience with UE4 and Blueprint is preferred
