we need an expert :)
We are a small company but we have some special needs in our network architecture. I know some stuff in this area but honestly, im far away from expert :)
Cable Modem. attached to an ASUS AC68U Router with DD-WRT (kongac) Image. This device is DHCP Server and manage everything. VLAN 1 and VLAN 3, while VLAN1 is company network and VLAN3 is guestnetwork. This Router also work as the primary WiFi Access Point with 3 SSID (2x Company, 1x Guest)
Attached to it is one TP-Link SG2424 Switch. Here we have some NAS and printer attached, also two other managed Switchs (TP-Link 1008E).
One of these switches (connected via powerline) serves just VLAN1, attached are two computers and 1 printer.
Second Switch (connected via regular lan wire) serves VLAN1 and VLAN3, attached to it is another Access Point (by regular lan wire, Outdoor). This Access Point has 3 SSIDs (1x Company, 1x Public, 1x for our Neighbours).
Actually, everything is working but tbh - i really dont know why exactly. i followed hundreds of tutorials, googled everything and so on. the problem began now:
1. outdoor wifi access point is very slow, connection sometimes like 7mbit (but its connected directly by CAT5e to the Main Switch). should be much faster?
2. Main Router serves two different DHCP Areas (192.168.1.x for company and 2.x for guest and neighbours). This works everywhere and these VLANs are seperated by Firewall Rules in DD-WRT. If I connect outdoor through the AP in company Wifi (VLAN1), I cant connect to the AP or Router WebInterface - but im in the network, internet and everything else work. i think, this is some VLAN problem. If I connect indoor, it works regularly.
3. I really dont think, my Config is very stable or good at all - it works, but since I dont exactly know what im doing, im pretty sure, the overall configuration is not the best.
What we need is something, who introduce me in this stuff and helps me repairing the network / config it good.
So guys, we really appreciate your help and it would be awesome if you contact us.
