Taxonomy / Master data management consultant needed for classifying electrical/mechanical parts

I am looking to take help to classify parts in my company. My company manufactures electrical and mechanical parts. Every group in the company today has different ways to classify parts (like by type of part, material of part and further more). But I want to know the best practices about how the parts are classified in the industry like mine. This could be discussed over a call. I am looking for someone to consult so that the ideas could be shared and then the consultant can help to implement it across my company that will be an ongoing project.
