How SQC is used in real life applications

A feel for how SQC is used in real life applications by approaching a specific case from a theoretical and practical point of view. I am expected to address the application of SQC to a carefully selected process, product, or system. The implementation of the SQC is a systematic approach that requires using a set of statistical and optimization tools and many more. Report should include: -an introduction, which should include description of the system / process/ product. -discuss the process being examined and problem addressed -identification of key measures used to evaluate the success of this project -discuss the project scope -(What is the problem? What is the scope? What key metric is important? Who are the stakeholders) -gantt chart with detailed work plan -executive summary that includes: problem statement/ description; briefly describe the problem (few sentences), identify the time period of the problem, quantify the degree of the problem and its impact on the business, summary of problem-solving approach (methods used in solving the problem), major project results or findings and recommendations (should include KEY info) Discuss the problem examined. Explain how we identified the specific project. we might possibly integrate visuals and data summaries using tools such as Pareto chart or a summary report of current performance for either a manufacturing or transactional process. some topics that should be included: -discussion of the process being examined and problem addressed: include a written description of the process and the potential performance issues add process map, flow chart, SIPOC diagram see problem statement discussed in executive summary for suggestions on writing an effective problem statement -identification of key measures used to evaluate the success of your project example: number of defects per million(DPM), number of defects observed per million (DPMO), costs, quality yield, error rates, procession or order-filling time or % conformance, machine cycle time, # complaints, etc. -discussion of project scope
