The assessment is divided into four portfolio tasks that need to be presented in a form a business report.
GSM, a large supermarket in the UK, is proposing to launch a new range of female clothes for the winter season. You are required to write a report outlining the information required to aid decision-making. You must use a business report format provided below. You may use diagrams (as needed) which are not included in the word count.
Front Page: Clearly indicate, on the front page of your report and the University submission documentation, the name of the lecturer who led your class.

Brief summary of main findings
Section 1: Discuss, the context of business decision-making, why information is important for business decision making. Refer to your module notes to help you identify relevant theory to support your analysis. You may find other sources of theory through your own research. This will be a general discussion and does not [need to] be specific to any particular business sector" (Learning outcome 1)
Section 2: Discuss how information aids business decision-making at all levels (e.g. from strategic to everyday operational decisions) in a business (learning outcome 3)
Section 3: Discuss in relation to launch of the new product lines, type(s) of information needed, its format, source and purpose in the decision-making process along with any other relevant information. (Learning Outcome 2)
Section 4: Discuss the key issues and restraints to be considered when communicating to selected business stakeholders. Your report must include consideration of both verbal and written communication targeted at TWO of the following stakeholder groups;-
