Hi I have many cron jobs running for several different websites that includes Joomla, WordPress, PrestaShop & Dolphin. The majority I use to create sitemaps automatically, but also clean recaptcha cache for comment systems in Joomla. I used to have a script running to move pictures to a backup folder and then make a copy of it. These were CCTV pictures and copy always at midnight. Cron is typical UNIX and Linus, and I have managed, maintained and installed these systems. You write you have the documentation which is great.
