We currently have a Wordpress site using the Divi theme and various plugins. We have created roughly what we are wanting but we want it to be aesthetically pleasing and to function correctly. We are wanting to use light colours including various blues, purples and greys throughout the site. The sidebar needs: * Social Media links/ icons * Adrotate group * Upcoming Events (From Events Manager) * Featured Days Out (From IMPress listings plugin) * Adrotate group * Featured competitions (Posts with 'Competitions' category) * A contact us widget, we have a rough creation of this The homepage (including sidebar) will have a featured 'Trending Topics' slider (news articles from posts), followed by: * Trending Topics - we have a header created in HTML and CSS which may require some adjustments. This header will link to a page containing all Trending Topics posts. Below the header we will have 4 featured Trending Topics with thumbnail, we need a simple way of managing which appear, we've set up the site with 'Featured' categories but that could become difficult for managing. * Featured Days Out - same as the above but for IMPress listings. Days Out are listings of attractions or Days Out for the family. * Featured Events - same as the above but for the Events Manager plugin. * Featured Competitions - it may be good to get a custom post type for Competitions rather than using posts and sorting them with a category. We've installed the search and filter PRO plugin as we are wanting people to search by location for events and Days Out. Other than this, it's just each page, Trending Topics, Days Out, Events and Competitions which need to be visually appealing and easy to use from a UI point of view. If you look at the archive website that I linked to, you will see that the colours work well, we want to avoid from lots of white. Our old site had a custom theme which allowed us to control all the features in the site in 'Theme Options' without touching plugins etc, it would be great if you could do something similar. Our old developer built in functionality into our old website (different name/domain) and subsequently cost a lot, meaning our budget is very small especially after Christmas! So far we've had two quotes, one for £400 and one for £500, all based in Cheshire. We're looking for a price a little cheaper and we'd be willing to proceed with the project soon.
