MySQL query assistance

I am looking for assistance to compile a MySQL query which involves calculating a daily moving average value and grouping those values based on a specific column. Using the attached dataset, if you run the following query: SELECT AVG(value), DATE(date), group, COUNT(value) FROM sample_data_new WHERE date >= '2017-10-10 00:00:00' AND (date <= ('2017-10-20' + INTERVAL 1 DAY)) GROUP BY group, DATE(date); You get a daily average for each unique group item. I'd like to modify the query to get a moving(sliding) daily average for the previous 7 days. Thus, the daily average for the date '2017-10-10' should be an average for all the days from '2017-10-03' up to '2017-10-10'. So an average has to be calculated for each day and then an average over 7 days for each day.
