Front End Development

Primary app experience: We have developed a pilot version of our website for web and mobile. We would like to focus on improving the (1) user experience and interface of our app for ease of use and (2) visual appearance while conferring the security of our app, which is the focus of this job posting. Project background: The Vitae app should function as a “wallet” (but with a front end design/function more similar to a banking app (eg Chase, BoA) than the Apple Wallet) for medical clinicians to maintain various credential documents where the user/physician/nurse is asked to enter their identity and certification information (via a wizard) and it is then made available for: Quick reference when needed. Sharing with other members of the protected network. Exporting to pdf (a la tax-prep software, eg TurboTax, H&R block). Additional features: There is additional functionality of maintaining secure notes and messaging. Furthermore, additional user types exist like administrators who validate the above elements of the app and who may also share them to people on the Vitae network. While these are important for the end product of our app, they are not the primary goal of this proposal. However, a completed product should account for these features and be able to pivot toward them in the future. Background: We have investigated various UI/UX methodologies and material design and a key issue we have found is to make the physician/nurse facing side of the app appear “smooth”, “complete” and “secure” and to easily direct them through the process of completing important information ONCE so that it never has to be done again. We are looking for someone who can: Review the app experience (we have had this done by several other designer friends as well, but understand that that is still part of the process.) Offer insight or design expertise on progressing through the app funnel. Design and code the UI for use on our mobile web application (we are NOT looking to build a standalone app at this time). Must have ability to implement these changes. We are not simply looking for design boards and mock-ups, but rather a front-end developer capable of producing a publishable product. Must be willing and able to work with and take direction from our CTO and engineer (who is wonderful to work with) - ie. No Steve Jobs types.
