enable my static asset url to supply content without a cookie

I use journal 3 and opencart 2.3.0.2 journal allows you to define a static asset URL, in my case a subdomain, by as both are not served with www. this does not work. ideally, I would like to change the static URL to load with www so that content is supplied by the cookieless domain, cookie-free. Easy job, not for me!
