Build website for a small social network - hardly for 1000 Users

A simple website with preferably in PHP with MySQL database at the backend. A bit like social media platform Facebook, but with very limited features. Requirements- 1. User login - Profile Picture and Details 2. Search People and Send Friend Requests 3. Post Pictures and Status - but Privacy Feature is NOT Mandatory. A user should be able to see what a friend has posted on the News Feed. 4. Like and Comments on the posts - but REPLY or LIKE to the comments is NOT Mandatory. 5. Send Messages to the Users - but Group Messages/Threads are NOT Mandatory. 6. Create Events (Just like birthday's, anniversaries) and option to Share them on your wall and also through a message to friends. 7. For the admin, an option to delete a post or ban a user from posting anything. Any further useful additions are appreciated. The project has a lot of scope for further feature additions and maintenance, so looking for experienced profiles only. Any further details can be discussed later.
