Daily Horoscope WordPress Plugin Description: I need help with creating a WordPress plugin called “Daily Horoscope”. Every day for every sign, a horoscope generator will randomly pick one out of 48 different horoscope texts from a text file and display it to the user. The user of the plugin should be given the option to choose his/her sign from a dropdown list. After the user selected their sign a text will appear below the dropdown menu. The user should only be able to get one horoscope per day per sign. Technical: In the code I need a text and a link to the website dailyhoroscopeplugin.com. Text: “Your Daily Horoscope - By Dailyhoroscopeplugin.com.” There’s no need for a real database, just use a txt or xml-file to store and get the posts (horoscope texts). We want to place the code on our own website, so please use a technique like php include or similar as the user shouldn’t be able to change the code. The plugin has to be ready for the WordPress repository and the plugin is meant to be used as a sidebar widget in WordPress. I also want users to be able to put it in a page or post as a shortcode. Visual: H3 header text at the top of the widget: Daily Horoscope (and date) Dropdown list. Below the dropdown list there should be a text box to display the horoscope text. Background-color: #000000, Color of text: #ffffff.

Hi, I have read the requirements and got the idea. I can build it neatly. The idea is to have a text or xml file for horoscope texts. Plugin will pull those texts and show when users choose their sign. I can create a shortcode to show this on any page or also a widget to put easily in a sidebar.
