Calculate percentage discount price from the product price

We've created the discount amount in the backend. We're sending the coupon code from the mobile app. So, the url get the products and need to calculate the percentage from the product price then returns in the json response. Already we done the json response. So, only need to do the calculation from the product price, quantity then returns the value.

i can do the calculation , just few question 1. is it the discount amount in percentage or not? 2. discount amount , it depends upon the coupon as well or its fixed on every product for which client will be having a coupon?
