Add multi threading to existing python code

I have a bachelor in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo and a minor in Mathematics, with 10+ years of experience with hands-on programming. What version of Python you are interested in, 2 or 3? I've done multi threading in the scanning of text, and argue that multi threading will not give you a performance gain. Especially in Python 2. This must be done using multi processing. I can do it.
