XML XSLT to HTML web based module

Weekly publishing company is moving to Adobe InDesign managed workflow. Workflow is style driven so XML tagging can occur automatically and XML output can be produced from print layouts. We have a PHP/MySql proprietary content management system (CMS) for our web portals. It allows an operator to upload articles (Basic html formatting) with vital info (author, issue date, section), preview them and publish them to our portals. We want to take our XML output (several large files containing multiple stories) from InDesign, convert it to HTML (each story being it’s own HTML doc) with basic formatting via XSLT (or any other means), and then load them into the CMS as we do now. If possible we want to alter the CMS admin to upload a .tar file of all the HTML documents, have it place the articles into the database and fill out vital info automatically from info it finds inside each file for author, section, subsection. Then the operator can upload all articles, preview, and publish live to the portal. Final product from this project will be a program we can install on our web servers with a web interface that allows an operator to upload a XML file, have it broken up into many HTML files with formatting which are all put in to a Dated Folder. Once complete, the interface allows the user to initiate a script, which will Tar the folder (create a .tar file with contents of the dated folder). Also, programmer will modify existing code for the PHP/MySql CMS admin to automate upload of HTML files (stories) via the .tar file of articles rather then one by one upload. All detail of current system will be available if bid is accepted. Also interface with webmaster, and other developers for the CMS. ## Deliverables Deliverables: 1) Proposal and outline of how goals for project will be accomplished. 2) Outline of what will be needed from web staff/other developers to complete the work. 3) Timeline for completion with milestones listed. 4) Complete a fully functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 5) Full documentation of code (comments), overview of functionality, and logical diagram of how the program works and technologies used will be required 6) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables) a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 7) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
