Bidder,

I am interested in finding someone who can create for me an equivalent application as the downloadble windows client you can see in this location: [

[url removed, login to view]][1]

This is a windows based applicaiton... i want the same functinality (with some minor modifications, ie instead of constructing a book i will construct another product). I will detail the minor modifications but the same conceptual layout with directory structure, foto workspace, drag and drop photos, step buy step, to a shopping cart check out and upload of information to me for the support of create and selling another product.

I would like to engage in dialog on whether to go with a windows app or to use JAVA and make it HTML based as part of a website. And what you believe the pros and cons will be of either.

Bidders will enter into dialog with me on RAC and i will formulate the final requirements and post them as my dialog goes on with all bidders. Then i will say that requirements are done... and let you put your best bid in.

SO do not BID yet till i tell youthat FINAL requirements are defined and documented ON RAC.

Your first step is to download this applicaiton and try it yourself... Then when you have done that and you understand it 100% tell me I will then begin to dialog with you on the minor modifications i need.

Then we will deicide wheter to go JAVA/HTML based or WIndows client base.

REMINDER DO NOT BID untill i document final requirements on this page in writing...

I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Bidders: Thanks to those who have downloaded the application that i have told youabout. If you have not done so please do so you can see the professional look and feel i will be requiring. Here are high level requirements of application for us to begin to dialog. Client SIde: Is an applicaiton that will run in any browser and will take data from a server application for use by the web user. The client will have 3 work spaces. First work space will be a list box with catgory names of pice parts. When a category name is clicked like a +/- open list, it will open up and show all members of the category as sub parts to the category. Next to the part name of the sub category you will show a small thumnail of the part. If you click on the part, you can then drag it to a work space where you will put all your parts. Then you will drag adn drop parts into the work space wehre you will create the end product. The end product will be created like a jig zas puzzle made up of drag and drop components. The product will be jewelery, necklassses, bracelets, earings. etc. The idea is that a person will be able to put together a thier own design based on a set of predesigned peice parts and see the design created on the 3rd work space. The puzzle parts will fit together perfectly and if they were not meat to fit together then the will not be able to dropped on a work apce next to another part. After the design is complete, the clent will push done button and move to a summary of the design and a shoping cart invoince where it will show part by part the description, qty and price of the design they have made, The last part of client will be payment and confirmation. and upload of the design to the server side for processing and order fullfilment. SERVER SIDE: Server side will have administators loging and password. Server side will alow admin to add categories, and usb parts, with description, name, price, cost and inventory qty on hand. Admin pannel will all ow admin to set up logic on parts if they can go next to eachtother or not. Admin page will keep historical log of all customers, and orders placed, and standar customer infomration. Admin page will allow create an oder that can be seen by admin so they can create the design and send it to customer. These are the higlevels of the idea. The most difficult part i see is crating the client side workspace and puzzle connection code for graphics of the jewelry. I belive that the fotography will be standardize so as to keep the application simple blocks connected to eachother. I would assume that the blocks that connect to eachother will be standard size pixel blocks, this choudl be variable, like 100x100, 150x150, 50x50 and depending on the product the fotos will have to conform to that size. From a programinger point of view you will not have to worry abou that issue and this will be take care of by professional fotography of the sub parts. This is all i want to write now becuase i would like you to beging to ask me questions to help flush out the idea. We will write a flow diagram of the client and server code as we finalize requirements. Look forward to healthy dialog with those who are interested. If the professionalizm an quality of the application grows i will grow the end price and bonus payment. Check my ratings i am serious and willing to pay well for jobs not rushed and WELL DONE. John

To all... here is answer to question i recieved from another bidder: There would be simple rules only to insure that the parts that were placed next to each other logically made sense... It would not be cmplex...The tough part would be to align individual parts for example with others. For example imagine a necklass chain.. then a bead, then a charm. the bead would have to be centered on the chain. The charm would have to align with the chain with at the right spot. One way to do this is when i take the fotography. that i just take a very controled shot over all combinations. The fotos would most likely be taken on a black background that would make foto work a bit tought but i think with hi-Q camera and simple touch ups could be done.

## Platform

If we select web based implemenation, Java or other Server/WEB based mechanism for" Windows XP", "in all 3.0+ versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape", If we select web side should work for all Window XP versions and later.
