50983 database query - and design?

After a couple of false starts and after taking professional advice I am now in a position to post this project. Essentially a Category/subcategory based item directory with paypal membership access. The website will be a fee based searchable database where you can find historic prices of antiques/collectibles whether from auction records or dealer prices. I want to put together something modular – a working website that stands alone in its initial construction but can easily be added to at a later date. For this project I need something simple and clean (emphasis on those two) and with the basic functions as stated in the brief – my initial thoughts were to separate the two parts into design and programming – I offer them here as one package however I will consider bids for the two parts separately – Post in PMB for separate bids - but no impersonal cut and paste megabytes of past history – you waste only your time - I will not read them or trawl through your links – include 2 or 3 examples of previous work only!!!! Although I am flexible about the timescale I am realistic about the size and scope of the project and realistically speaking (pre-empting those of you who try to kid a kidder) the scripts should take a handful of hours for any competent programmer - testing – a generous 3-4 days, a couple of days for the design and a couple thrown in for good measure – This is not a big or complicated project. If you think otherwise – you have misunderstood the brief – so those of you who have plenty of work – good for you – don't bid on the project just to tag me on the end of a list of other pending projects – so 30 and 45 day bidders – save yourself the trouble!!
