I have an existing script that was written in php and mysql. The previous developer was amazing however, she is rather busy at the moment and not available to make changes. The issue is that the script works on a test server which uses cPanel, but I upgraded to a more powerful dedicated server and it is not working as it should. The new server does not use cPanel, it uses php-fpm, nginx and apache.
What does the script do?
The script basically allows you to input a text file of urls, which it then stores to the a database table. Once it is the database, it runs crawlers that check for all external links on the urls in question that do not respond to an A [url removed, login to view] it puts those results in a separate database table with a status code of 1 or 0.
1 = A record found
0 = No A record found
The only issue that I can see is the fact that the script is just not compatible on the new server in question. So firstly I need the follow:
1. For you to run a comparison of the features on the working test server.
2. Tell me what needs to be enabled on the new server so the script is fully functional. Basally server requirements (I need a full exhausted list).
3. Make a few modifications to the way the urls are uploads to the script.
4. Increase the success rate of how the script checks for status codes.
I can help you. First give me the script to read it, then i will need access to the machine that the script is running and i will fix it for a day or two max. I have written a lot of web scrappers
