Currently, I am using a PHP powered live support system on my website. Currently, this system requires I visit a URL on my site and login. The system then launches a new window that is an administration panel. When someone visits my site and wishes to chat live the system will page me either via ICQ or through an internal paging system (which requires a different window be kept open). What I would like is a standalone application that would interface with this system so that I would not need to have the admin panel window or the second window used for paging constantly kept open. This standalone app should be able to be minimized to the system tray to give more room on the taskbar. Launch program and it automatically logs me in to the support system so visitors will know I am online. Ability to be minimized to taskbar. Audio alert (changeable by me) when a chat request is made as well as a visual alert (such as the icon flashing). I've seen a similar program for a different live chat support system that accomplished this through the .net framework. It basically used the IE system but was separate from the currently opened browser windows. The PHP source code is available for the coder. The URL for the description of the similar app for the other system is [login to view URL]
