The project is to create a PRNG (Pseudo Number Generator) COM+ component in C++. The component will accept a designated set of parameters that will be administered in a GUI developed in Visual Basic 6. The parameters, dates, outputs and outcome will be stored in a SQL Server 2000 Database using stored procedures. The core functionality uses this PRNG [url removed, login to view] (randomc.zip.) The seed can be any integer, positive, negative or zero. Repeating the calculations with the same seed will produce the same sequence of random numbers. A different seed will give different random numbers. You may use the time in seconds or milliseconds as the seed. [url removed, login to view] Level. a) Fixed/Random will take 1 as parameter. b) Fixed/Fixed will take 2 as parameter c) Random/Fixed will take 3 as parameter. d) Random/Random The difficulty levels are set by whether 2 random numbers are generated to compare or a fixed number is compared with a random generated number. The developer will build a test interface so that the number probability can be tested and reported based on the set of parameters listed above. The developer will program a database table and stored procedure to assign prng id codes and parameter values so that each prng condition may be called by prngID in an ASP page. The VB GUI will allow links to various ASP pages within the client’s site. Two other db related reports would be generated. The client will provide the additional information to the selected bidder. Programmer should have a basic understanding of statistics.
