I will pay 4 selected bidders $20 each to provide me with a detailed recommendation on the best way to implement this project. Based on those recommendations, I will later select one of the selected bidders to work on a second project which will be to build the actual software itself.
I am interested in developing a high-quality, commercial product for strategic business planning (mission statement creation, goals, objectives, etc.). The product should include a wizard-like component that asks interview-type questions to gather information. I would like this to be organized into 3 or 4 chapters with each chapter preceded by a presentation (flash, director, etc.) with voice and graphics, perhaps animation or a human presenter. Following the presentation for each chapter, the user would be guided through a series of questions (e.g., what are the goals for your company, etc.) and the users input would be collected. The text entered will then be used to compose a company mission statement and a set of strategic goals, etc. The user must be able to revise/edit their input via a text editor and at the end of the process, the program should export the information in an RTF or XML/HTML document. The user must be able to pause and come back to whereever they left off. There should also be an option to print off the questions of a chapter to be used separately in a team meeting. We will also need to have a demo version of the product.
1) Recommendations on tools and approach to be used for creation along with justification and potential issues associated with that approach. I would like to know specifics on what you feel would be the best tools to use, existence of any pre-made software, etc. including your best guess on the cost to develop it.
2) Cost guess-timate for building the complete product.
3) Discussion of any experience or background you have in creating commercial products.
The actual project will be done as a subsequent step. You are bidding only on providing the initial recommendation of what to use and how to do it.
Should run on all Windows platforms. Open to suggestions on the exact environment. There may be some type of generic generator that can be used to build this that I am not aware of.
