The best way for doing this task is by using MS Mappoint Helper. So, the locations would be entered as a location known by MS Mappoint and stored into its database. And my application would do following: - capture GPS locations within certain sort interval - it will use MS Mappoint SDK for checking its nearby on any location on the database - if its nearby location is closer to certain locations, then it will execute process for playing video - if its nearby is leaving the location, it will close the video. All we have to have is a Mappoint and the SDK so we could programmatically the functions we described here. If you agree with this method, I estimate this will need 3 - 5 development days, event quicker. Let me know if you are interested with my approach

Hello, I would like to propose a solution based on WPF and MediaElement. This will be an application running on screen and reading the source for GPS coordinates. If the GPS coordinate fits in one of the closest match I will play the video in the media element. I am using this media element in my internet kiosk software. Regarding the GPS coordinates please provide more information regarding the GPS device. How is connected and what is the format of the data. If you have already a device with remote connection I can check it and analyze it. I suggest to discuss in a way I can adjust my bid to meet the deadline and the requirements. Everything depends on the features you require regarding the data storage (GPS and files to play) and the GPS itself. Everything else is routine work. Thank You, Patrik

My Background: Manager, Designs. Software Expert. I've implemented a similar program in our customized hardware where we use the GPS to display nearby landmarks. This was done using U-Blox GPS and a LCD screen; the product would show a brief description of monuments and it's history to the user.
