It's very hard to stay in your budget when you include packing to the job. Otherwise $250 would be reasonable depending on how far you are moving. The best I can offer you is 2 professional movers for $115 per hour, with a 3 hour minimum. The truck, mileage and fuel are included for no additional charge. Packing materials are extra depending on how much stuff you need us to pack. A one bedroom apartment usually requires $80-$190 in boxes and other packing materials. You only pay for what you use. If you have less, then of course you wouldn't be charged. The other thing to consider is where are you moving to? How far is it and what is the layout of the new building or house, I.e. Elevator, Stairs, Flat? California also has a law that requires moving companies to charge what is called "Double Drive time." I can waive that if you are not moving to far, but most companies in California charge the double drive time. I need a little more information to properly bid on this project but I can assure you that my movers are extremely fast and efficient.
