help fix my MATLAB script

i am trying to build an application to get a parking image and analysis the image to detect edge using sobel op rotor so i can put a boxing boundary label it slot along with its number
the output should return the number of empty parking
i have uploaded a PDF explaining the steps into more details with an empty parking image and couple image with different occupied cars location
i might have an entire parking empty or full so the application should return correct result
note matlab script named parking in txt file
