Hey there, So, the first thing that i can easily say is that the accuracy will totally depend on the number of classes we need to predict and the data provided for the training of the model, I can create a dataset of animals if you can give me the classes that you want to train the model on, the accuracy can vary depending on the number of classes. Exp: I have 5 years of experience in the field of deep learning which i can prove in the private chat. Approach: We can probably use a pre-trained model because models like Inception are getting insane accuracies for multi-class problems, i could create something from scratch too, no problem with either. For similar tasks Deep Neural Networks are used nowadays in particular CNN. Accuracy will depend on number of distinct animals you want to recognize, quality of images and size of a data set used for training. Usually you may expect quality not too far from human's accuracy.

Hi there. I am a computer science student, 4th grade. also I have 3 years part time work experience & freelance experiences. About project; Firstly, we need a image dataset to train our model. Finding animal picture dataset is not so hard. I did my school's final project on detecting sarcasm on texts. Also I'm following kaggle platform which is a data science platform. So I have some background on the machine learning but as always, I need to learn much and much more things :) I Guess, we need to use cloud techs to bring it live. Because processing image data is a hard thing for a regular pc. We need to look CNN, DNN, OpenAI solutions for the project. Also, We need to use deep learning techniques. I don't know any 3rd party API for yet but after some research, maybe we can find that may fit our purpose.
