Dear Freelance Lawyer.
We are a small film production based in Switzerland.
In 2015 we were hired by a Chinese Tourism Company "QYER" ([url removed, login to view]) to film a series of short films in 5 different countries around the world. After sharing emails and Details around Budget and planning of the project, the project manager gave us the GO for the project and budget. We wrote 5 Scripts and filmed the first of five episodes in the USA with a crew of 6 people payed by our production company.
QYER payed for the Scripts, Flights, Hotels and Food and some of the Equipment. After a successful 3 Weeks of filming we wrapped the shoot and started to edit the first episode. (please write "16" at the beginning of your proposal, so that we know you read this project description)
We had 3 Feedback loops with the project manager and handed over a finished Roughcut that alrady took 100's of hours of work. QYER then canceled the project and didn't want to pay for it, the project manager was fired. Now we are left with a well made Film that is made specifically for QYER that they aren't paying for.
We need a lawyer that can establish the facts, calculate the damage and make QYER pay for what they have ordered.
Greetings! I am qualified accountant and law graduate with nine years of experience in legal drafting and opinions. Please PM me to discuss the project further. Thank you.
