Clean up my javascript and output elements to Canvas

I have written a piece of Javascript. I need you to clean it up so that it runs as efficiently as possible but remains readable by a person.
As well as that, at the moment, the Javascript is using the getElementById string to style the background of a DIV in the HTML. I would like this to be re-written so that the code paints the items in Canvas.
You should be able to paint four concentric circles as in the image attached using Canvas and colour them according the output of the already written Javascript. I've attached the script for your ease.
