Your Mission: To build a cross platform Electron App ([login to view URL]) to house the Zero Web Application. Qualification: - You have experience using Electron ([login to view URL]) to build native desktop wrappers for Web Applications. - We have experience working in both web technologies (such as React, Angular, and Node) as well as Desktop software development (such as C, C++, or Java). - You have experience working with OSX, Windows, and Linux based operating systems. Project: - We will determine scope and budget on a per phase basis. We will rapidly iterate and ship small improvements using agile and lean software development best practices. - Phase 1: To set the Electron Repo, software development environment, and to build an installer for a native OSX app for the Zero Web Application. - Phase 2: To setup Web Notifications for the native application. - Phase 3: To get the installed and apps working in Windows and Linux environments. - Phase 4: To create a centralized 'force-upgrade' feature that enables Zero to require users to update their current version of Electron. - Phase 5: To enable skin and logo customization of the Electron interface. - Phase 6: To enable MetaMask Integration directly in the Electron app. - Phase 7: To support tabbed browsing to external websites directly from within the Electron App. About Zero: - Zero is a next generation OS for social collaboration and the future of work. - Zero enables teams and communities to design, develop, and sell products and services in a fully distributed and decentralized manor. - Zero is a web-based Operating System - meaning it is extensible, customizable, and comes with many out of the box apps including: Profiles, Chat, Feed, Market, Tasks, Maps.
