1. OVERVIEW: EDEL Invisible & Touchless Bio-energy Switch (EITBS) is an electronic sensor- switch which as such, does not need actual human touch to be activated. The sensor can be actioned from a distance between 2 and 10cm, which for special application needs is adjustable to specific requests which adds to its uniqueness. Due to the entirely passive aspect of the sensor, no electronic waves of any kind are emitted, thus not further adding to the busy environment around us. The sensors can be 'hidden' behind any type of material of any thickness most notably metal, concrete, Amber, plastic, dry-walling, ceramic tiling and so on. Therefore, not only is the sensor switch 'invisible' but is unique in its compatibility with all materials. Further, the EITBS is simpler than all other standard switches and their installations. 2. DEVELOPMENT & DESIGN: The EITBS has been developed and designed to replace the current classical rocker switch, both manual and electronic. Development has been centered around areas where hygiene, safety & aesthetics are of paramount importance including hospitals, medical & pharmaceutical laboratories, clinics, petro-chemical fuel & gas industry, domesAc homes (can be installed behind wall tiles if required to be unseen for added security & comfort), offices, factories, areas where a fire hazard could be of great concern, handicap environments, anti-vandalism & security alarm systems The EITBS, which has been designed to fit into a standard wall toggle switch box - notably without any protrusion from the wall as is the case with the standard toggle switch thus making it safe in zones including hygienic areas and medical environments. It is energy saving and eco-friendly. In addition, it can be placed anywhere in floors & walls made of any material. It remains ideal for security applications.  Furthermore, the product can also be mounted in places where special demands are of supreme importance, such as for the disabled where installation required could be for operating the switch by foot, elbow, leg, knee, forehead or other parts of the human body, where these remain the only means of operating a switch. Actual touch is not required as such, merely passing that part of the body past the electronic sensor which could be suitably installed to suit any specific special application. 3. FUNCTIONALITY OF THE EDEL INVISIBLE & TOUCHLESS BIO-ENERGY SENSOR: It is both economical and energy saving. In-house testing has shown that this sensor's energy consumption is approximately R25,0O per annum. With the choice of so many types of fascia’s (switch covers), the sensor can have a practical 'tag'/fascia for example in all applications, whilst there are bespoke designs available for most of these applications . In addition, its fascia designs are compatible with a number of different materials, shapes and designs. These designs are not possible for classic or standard type switches, due to the mechanical limitations of the standard covers. As importantly, this product is notably also safe in wet or dry areas and does not react to humidity or temperature of any sort. 4. MANUFACTURING: Whilst manufacturing had been initiated in Europe in 2014 and consequently, was marketed and successfully sold across all industry & markets, as previously noted in this presentation, South Africa has now become the geographical hub for manufacture and sales, not only for South Africa but for export into Europe and other Continents of the world.
