I have a fictional novel that I have written over the past three decades that I have returned to over and over, and in doing so, have rewritten several iterations of. I consider myself, these days, a writer first and artist second. I have not done much artistically over the past decade, and so my skills are rusty, at best. I also don't have the tools to create visual stuff these days, outside of photography, so I need a capable artist to assist me with a fantasy species design concept that I have had tumbling around in my head for some while now.
To be clear, I have already drawn them in the past, so I have a frame of reference. My chosen medium was pencil or pen and ink, and I can provide these renderings to you, should we work together. My goal is to adjust this creature design so that it is more...I functional/believable in the sense that they talk orally, as we do. I have the tweaks generally in mind, but not sure about the anatomical shifts necessary to make this more "correct." Currently, the design features a tapered maw, much like a dragon's. I want to retain that idea, but make necessary adjustments to the face and mouth, where the artist feels is needed. Body adjustments may be considered as well. I'm looking for fresh ideas, and I think this will be fun.
But, fair notice: this project will require signing an NDA. The designs must be kept confidential and not used in any other format. Should we get on well, I would like to retain you for future art projects. I will provide more details after hiring. Thank you for reading this job description.

Hello Marc, I identify a lot with you, I have carried a story with me for years now and I always modify it to adapt it to my present time more than to that of the world.
You can send me a sample if you like of the creature you want to adapt, and together we will accommodate every possible idea until it fits perfectly.
