Build a sample iOS Xcode project using libprojectM

I develop an open source music streaming app for iOS called iSub Media Streamer. I would like to integrate an open source library called libprojectM to use as an audio visualizer.
I already have it building using SDL and running on my Mac in this repository (you can see it in the macOS branch of the einsteinx2/projectm repo on GitHub, requires first installing some libraries and running cmake . && make in the main repo directory before it will run).
Also, I was able to get a libprojectM static library building for iOS (in the master branch of the einsteinx2/libprojectm-ios repo on GitHub), though it's totally untested.
However, while my Objective-C and Swift skills are strong, I'm weak in OpenGL and C/C++. Also I have very little time to work on this. If you have OpenGL ES skills and some C/C++ background, it should be relatively simple to get a running iOS app proof of concept. It only needs to display the output of libprojectM into an OpenGL ES layer, similarly to how the macOS example project works with SDL. I can take it from there and integrate it into iSub if I have the entry point to feed it audio samples and an example of it displaying output.
I would prefer that you add iOS support to the projectm repository so that it can be contributed upstream, however if that's not feasable, then you can create a fresh project or expand the libprojectm-os project.
Deliverables:
- Working iOS Xcode project that feeds audio (either from microphone or fake generated test audio) into libprojectM and displays the output into an OpenGL ES layer.
- Must work similarly to the macOS example (i.e. loads various MilkDrop presets)
- Bonus if you can port it to OpenGL ES 3 (it currently supports ES 1 only)
