Write a single page web application

I want to build a very simple ToDo list single page web application. Here are some requirements: *Must be implemented with MVC *Must have both client and server sides, implemented with javascript, DOM and HTML *Communication between client and server must be through XML or JSON *Must be in a form of list, which can hold one or more items *The items can be edited, deleted and added. *The items can be filtered and sorted. The application must be as simple as possible, so a beginner like myself can understand how it was developed. Maximum budget 30$
