I know this is a really simple task in Photoshop, but I've been wasting a lot of time trying to get the steps right.
I hope someone can help me with this process.
I have a folder of product images (Let's say C:\my_images).. There are many product images in this folder of all different resolutions & sizes.
I would like to run a job on all files in this folder to crop & resize them all so they nicely fit a 1000x1000 standard image export:
1. Crop all white area away so the product has minimal white space around it
2. Stretch or shrink the image to fit a 1000 x 1000 canvas (not distorted obviously)
I've managed to get it to work a long time ago, but have forgotten the steps (trim? Resize? I can't remember!)
Whatever the steps are, I know I need to record this action & save it, so I can use it in batch processing later.
I'd like to upload some high resolution product images into the source folder and let Photoshop go to work, trimming off the white bits and saving the final image as a 1000 x 1000 JPEG image (obviously in the output folder)
I've attached some sample images here to show you the types of resizes we need to work with, after processing I'd hope that all output files would be 1000x1000 with the product as large as possible on the canvas.
I guess this job really is to just advise ME how to do it. Most likely it will be a few minutes chat only or perhaps you can make a step by step document, but happy to pay for your time to stop me searching around on google any more!
