Email Marketing Copywriter (Ongoing)

Hey! Email marketing doesn't have to be boring — but you already know that, don't you? If you're an experienced email copywriter, and are looking for a part-time contract copywriting gig with an eclectic, growing company in the SaaS tech space, then you're what we're looking for! The work We're looking for a contract copywriter, 8–10 hours per week, to help us grow our email marketing abilities. We're looking for someone to help us craft email campaigns that will help us attract customers, and retain them as long-time subscribers, across the B2B and B2C side of our SaaS business. We send millions of emails each month about product launches, new content, and other news of interest to our customers and fanbase-at-large using several approaches, from plaintext campaigns, to image-heavy communications, to logic-based email sequences, to simple sales campaigns. We have so much to talk about that we just simply can't do it all ourselves! That's where you come in, to help us with the heavy lifting of writing snappy and engaging email campaigns that will resonate with our tech-savvy users. This position is for approximately 8–10 hours per week, for three months, but if you're a great fit, then there will be lots of ongoing work available beyond email, including funnel copywriting, social copy, and other website copy. This position is 100% fully remote and is based on deliverables, not set working hours. So it's a great opportunity for those of you who enjoy flex hours. The qualifications If you can tick all of the boxes below, we would love to work with you: - You are a seasoned freelance email copywriter (contractor) with several years' experience with B2C or B2B email copywriting, including single emails as well as multi-email campaigns. - You have a proven track record of writing direct response emails that people read, and more importantly, make people want to take action! - You can deliver professional, polished work on reasonable yet fast-paced timelines. - You have a keen eye for US English grammar, conversational copywriting, and an ability to adopt our existing tone and style for the sake of consistency. - You are passionate about technology, especially in the mobile app space. - You're comfortable writing about technology for an incredibly tech-savvy audience. - You have a strong knowledge of basic and intermediate email marketing principles. - You are experienced in creating audience-appropriate email subject lines and CTAs that drive open rate and CTR. - You have experience with creating lead generation / sales nurturing emails that customers love to read. - You're comfortable taking direction and communicating about projects via email or platforms like Slack or Discord. You'll be asked to create a short email as part of the filtering process, based on some information we provide about one of our technical products. About the team You'll work directly with the CMO, who will help set the direction, structure, and goals of the email projects you'll be working on. You'll also liaise directly with our small but mighty Marketing team, including our Customer Success Manager, our Community Manager, and our Creative Specialist, to build compelling and successful email campaigns that help us reach our various audiences as best as possible!
