Design a PCB embedded Inductor (preference Altium) and match with a signal transformer and existing LC oscillator for maximum sensitivity in presence of wheel flange. Provide design details and supporting data (simulation) on embedded PCB coil. You must be a magnetics/electronics expert with previous experience in this field. Requirement to detect a wheel flange 20mm-35mm from the PCB coil (metal flange 20mm x 50mm dimensions) which is connected to a shielded cable up to 10m in length to a LC oscillator/detector. Require advice on optimum frequency of operation. Require a racetrack type inductor to maximise the time the wheel flange is over the sensor. Wheel flange can be travelling up to 180km/h. Can supply enclosure details for modelling the magnetics.

I would like to implement the solution using Texas INstrument Inductance sensor LDC1xxx. With this, the reference design given by TI can be used and teh PCB design is not very critical. I believe spending more time in designing a proper communication system to detect and ytransfer data, can give you good results. I have done work with LDC1000 , when it was introduced. There have been further improvements in the device, done by TI, in past two/three years Can discuss further Thanks

Hello, so I have played you need is the design and optimization of a sensor. you intend to simulate your project with comsol multiphysics. since this deliver results more reliable and has a solver frequency harmonic what would enable US to parametrizar your model to the values you need. I have extensive experience in electronics and simulation of physics of magnetism. the design also can be performed in altium or Proteus. I guarantee excellent results and a high level of detail in technical documents. We suggest that check my profile in freelancer on projects ugly. I am currently simulating a number of linear Motors three-phase and analyzing a draft a stack of hydrogen for electric vehicles, but I have done other projects include physics fluid, change phases, heat transfer and radiation. An example, is the recovery of waste heat of photovoltaic panels through a process thermodynamic with which through saturated steam transfer enthalpy to a micro turbine.
