Fiber Optic may be non-glass coherent bundle image conduit or tube or whatever else you feel appropriate solution.
The FO will be connecting 2 points - say A, B which may be about 100 ft apart. A side has electrical power (let's say 24VDC) but B does not.
B side is in a hazardous area so will be only FO light-driven or less likely with extremely low electrical energy consumption electronics with battery power.
A side will be a fixed box mounted on a pole with power
while B side will be a pendent with membrane front layer held by a mobile person. From A side, generate randomly changing alphanumeric text from some embedded microcontroller system that will need to be projected on B side pendent. The A microcontroller will interface with FO on one side & to our system via one of ethernet, BLE or Wifi. Also, there will be let us say 4 or so touch areas (push-buttons) on B pendent. When the user
touches/pushes any one of them, we need to sense the particular touch at the A microcontroller side ( You may have a better idea to tackle this but we were thinking to have a FO loop from A to B to A, which may be mechanically
or otherwise interrupted by the touch/push(s) on pendent membrane). Any mechanical packaging, enclosures, boxes, pendent can be provided by us, if you will prefer. Create a test environment to help test the system also.
We shall try to get the hardware, you specify & make it accessible to you. You will make the BOM which will need our approval, before proceeding further.
If any dll or compiled apps (whose source will not be made available to us) need to be used, you must get our approval before using them. Our budget is flexible.
All the developed source code will be owned by us & also you will sign a NDA. Provide an estimated delivery schedule & development code will need to be reviewed by us weekly.
