This job is about national politics in Malaysia, we are looking for a rigorous political science analyst who can assemble a comprehensive database of all social media accounts and relevant websites in the current political landscape of Malaysia. We are looking for a native speaker, and someone with a deep and current understanding of Malaysian politics and the upcoming elections.
The analyst should start with social media accounts (Twitter / Facebook / YouTube), pages, channels and websites for: big and small candidates to the upcoming election, official elected offices, relevant media and newspaper, pages for all political parties including smaller or more marginal ones, important political media figures and commentators, main traditional and online political media, influential political and activism groups and movements. This will include more fringe or advocacy based political groups, not just the traditional parties. The analyst will research what these social media accounts and websites are, and create a spreadsheet listing the websites and accounts (ex. @kualalumpurpoliticalnewspaper), and adding a short comment on why they are relevant (ex. this newspaper is widely read, and has mostly a pro-Government editorial line).
This request is time-sensitive, we are looking for the database to be completed in the course of a few days.
