Material selection for membrane and dilatant fluid associated with new hardware product.

The Chemical/Material specialist: Will sign an NDA related to product information. Will establish testing procedures for a specific application of dilatant(shear-thickening) fluids and will be expected to provide evidence for a go/no go decision based on the physical properties of possible materials. Will identify suitable membrane materials to contain the fluid and further meet the requirements of the application as will be discussed. Will address and optimize final materials selection on cost, ease of manufacturing, quality tolerance, and expected lifetime. Will assist in estimating the membrane and fluids contribution to price point per unit for batch production and full production. Will deliver material specs and requirements suitable for production of a finished product for both the membrane and fluid. Will identify OEM and/or materials distributors able to meet production requirements of relevant materials. Will be professional, effective, and timely within reason. Upon completion of the tasks additional work and further compensation may be negotiated. A bit about myself: I am Walker, an ex: IBMer of 9 years (I interned at 19) and inventor who's division had a significant loss of headcount in July. I have 6 patents to my name all owned by IBM and have decided to pursue my own inventions at the risk of my retirement savings. I have reached a point in the production of a business from one of my proposed patent ideas where the limits of my understanding of materials science make it wise to seek a specialist's opinion. My expectation is to generate a trickle of cash flow within the next year and to work at scaling it beyond that.
