Need help coding AI bot for Defcon PC game in C++ using API

I'm an avid player of the Defcon (global thermonuclear war) real-time strategy game for PC. Recently for personal entertainment reasons I have an interest in creating my own "AI bot" for Defcon game that fights human players, the default AI original bot in-game, and also other ai bots created by members of the Defcon community. I have ideas and know what I want to implement, but unfortunately don't quite have the C++ coding skills. I already have the API for creating AI bots for Defcon and can make changes and compile the .dll (bots are dll files) in Visual Studio 2008 and the Defcon API comes with the function list, constants and tables values, templates of an default bot for quick customization, framework all ready to go. Even someone with almost no C++ experience like myself was able to get it to compile, but I want to implement lots of improvements and make it play much stronger than the default bot source code that is included. The API and bot itself are coded in OOP format, and highly modular and extensible. Even if you cannot help with the entire bot, perhaps only a certain aspect of the bot.
