REVIT MEP Project - Plumbing

This purpose of this project is to add the Plumbing portion of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) components to a structure using AutoDesk Revit. The structure is an SDU (Secondary Dwelling Unit) and is detailed in an existing Revit (RVT) file. Even though the structure is not very large, it does contain all of the infrastructure any typical house would have, along with several unique systems. We have described the Plumbing MEP components, infrastructure, placement, etc. to be added in several documents and drawings in various Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF, and AutoCAD files. The final Revit drawings must contain all of the major details contained in those documents. Please note that the documentation is for actual construction purposes too, so it includes several ‘notes’ and some granular details which will not be readily apparent or even necessary in the views or drawings, but will be added to the final Drawing Sheets later. The AutoCAD DWG files have been provided to assist in the proper placement of the Plumbing MEP components as the routing and accurate placement of those components are critical. Framing information is also contained in the Revit drawing file and should be considered when placing and routing those components. In order to reduce errors and wasted time, we will also want to review drawings on a daily basis. Additionally if you have any questions or are unsure about the documentation, we will be available to provide answers and clarification. The final drawing for this project will only include the added Plumbing MEP components and infrastructure which will then be linked into the main Revit drawing file along with other MEP components. Candidates bidding on this project must be proficient with AutoDesk Revit and should also have access to AutoCAD (preferably AutoCAD Architecture). And as usual, we will typically not respond to the first bidders on a project. We have never liked the speedy, automated responses to our past projects because those candidates obviously did not take the time to review our project in order to become familiar with it and give us an informed, educated offer. We usually look at bids after a couple of days and only consider the bids from people that have actually reviewed our project and aren’t offering a ‘canned’ or ‘pre-planned’ automated response. So with that in mind, don’t rush, we prefer quality over speed.
