Hi there! I'm excited to hear more about clearing up/producing the vocals on your podcast. I've actually had some extensive experience recently for this sort of project. I was asked by a church to record several organ hymns (as they were unable to get a regular organist and wanted to play the accompaniment part through their speaker system.) As organs tend to have various clunks and with the noise of the road outside being a factor, clearing up the background recordings afterwards was a big part of the project! Back in college I produced a mental health podcast for our chapter of Active Minds, a mental health advocacy group. The interview subjects were people who wrote about their experiences and challenges involving mental health. My job was to probe further, and ask questions that brought people into the headspace of my interview subjects. For the podcastI created a unique intro from an existing song, recorded and processed the vocals of myself and the interview subject, mixed in some background music, and added an outro song that was unique to each interviewee. As long as the room and the equipment that you record in/with are halfway decent, my job should be fairly easy and quick. I estimate that it would take about 5 to 10 hours to finish one episode of your podcast.
