We did something similar to this in film school. We wrote a script for our film one semester and the next semester we shot our films plus added music for our silent films. We can negotiate the price down.

My proposal is the following: I have already written a short story in Spanish, called January, that has to do with a meeting at a small historic cementery located in Montevideo, Uruguay, the city where I was born. Is not a ghost story even though it has a ghost, but the role of the ghost is to bring some kind of hope, to let us know that the loved ones we have lost, still exist somewhere. I believe I can turn this story -that is related to a personal experience- in a silent film script. I have a great idea for a silent short I had started on some months back but never completed. It's about a man's personal struggles with life with a focus on his job set in New York City and a more rural less affluent area. It revolves around day-to-day mundane life. Through a near death experience, he realizes that happiness is a more relative concept based around perception than it is a tangible aspect of his life that can just be "fixed." Let me know if you're into this idea. Just to make sure we're on the same page, by silent I mean no dialogue. I don't know if you're going for a more focused vision based around SFX as well. And I do have two words of dialogue in the last shot of the short but I can obviously work around that if you prefer not to have it in.
