I'm interested in working on your blog. I can turn in an article every week, if need be. I prefer to stay in touch via email, so please send a message if you're interested. Here's my review:
My all-time favorite film is Back to the Future. You may be asking: of all of the films to be released in the 100+ years of cinema, why go with a comedy film released in the 1980s (a decade with no shortage of comedies that have since gone on to be considered classics). Well, to keep things brief, Back to the Future has:
A story that implements at least four different genres (comedy, science fiction, adventure, romance), throws them into a blender, and somehow manages to get them to form into a cohesive whole. It also has two of the best remembered heroes in film history (Marty McFly and Doc Brown), as well as one of the best comedic villains (Biff Tannen). Not to mention one of the most iconic theme songs to emerge from the 80s, up there with Raiders of the Lost Ark and E.T.
But the one thing that truly cements Back to the Future as my favorite film is something that cannot be categorized. And that thing, is rewatchability. I’ve sat through hundreds, probably thousands of bad films, where once was more than enough. It’s hard for imagine the day where I watch Back to the Future yet again, and say to myself “yeah, that’s enough.”
