I have a rewrite condition in my htaccess file to detect mobile device.
Google is telling me it is getting a 301 error on iphones when trying to load the page.
Can you look at the script and tell me what needs to be fixed?
Should take about 10 minutes for someone knowledgeable.

RewriteRule ^(?!mobile)(.*)$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}/mobile/$1 [R=301,L]
Hello!
That RewriteRule is nonsense. Explain what URL you are trying to rewrite into what URL.
It definitely would not only be for iphone, and not only mobiles either(these RewriteCond patterns are so broad that quite a few desktop software would fall in that net too, though that's not the cause of the issue.
Dobri
Hello,
HTTP 301 Response Code is for redirects (its not an error code) which is what the given htaccess rule is for.
Can you let me know what is the expected behaviour for iPhone users?
